USC Libraries' Special Collections Seeking Undergraduate Research Assistants

Special Collections

Students in USC's Feuchtwanger Memorial LibraryThe USC Libraries' Special Collections department invites undergraduates with an interest in history and archival research to apply for one of two Special Collections Research Assistant positions. This research assistantship will bring a team of two undergraduates into Special Collections who will work independently and collaboratively to process and publicize archival collections related to Southern California. This project will allow students the opportunity to learn about archival practices, primary source research, and exhibition creation. Research assistants will work 8-10 hours per week and will be compensated with a stipend of $1,500 per semester.  Applicants must have some research experience and a minimum 3.0 GPA.

To apply, please write a statement that outlines your interest in working with archival materials and explain how this internship will benefit your wider educational goals and/or future professional ambitions. Please send this statement and your resume to kapsidel@usc.edu. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis; please apply by Monday, April 30, to receive full consideration.
