New Search Tool for USC's Science and Engineering Resources

The Scirus search tool is designed to help you locate science and engineering articles more effectively using USC's subscription eresources and other sources.

Scirus filters out non-scientific and non-technical information when it crawls the Web in response to your basic or advanced search keys. The publisher Elsevier created Scirus, so it also searches Elsevier's Science Direct ejournal titles -- USC subscribes to hundreds of these -- and Scirus is a good way to search them all at once.  In addition, Scirus crawls a number of free document repositories, like arXiv.org, so you can access technical preprints and reprints which can be unexpectedly rich information resources.  Give it a try at: https://www.elsevier.com/.  (Remember, if you are searching from off campus, login via the proxy server first, so you can get right to all the Science Direct journals.
