Hoose Library of Philosophy Featured in Los Angeles Times

USC's Hoose Philosophy of Library was featured in a Los Angeles Times list of "10 inspiring L.A. libraries for when you want free AC and a quiet place to work."

"[I]t resembles a Hogwarts set with beautifully painted walls, tall graceful columns, towering arches and a large stone fireplace," writes the Times's Deborah Netburn. "There are five long wooden tables down the center of the room, but even more inviting are the small curved alcoves formed by bookshelves against the walls."

The library, located in USC's Mudd Hall, is typically open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m, Monday through Friday, during the academic year, with shortened hours and scheduled closures during summer, academic recesses, and holidays.
