Library Orientations

In addition to our course-integrated information literacy instruction, the USC Libraries offers several opportunities for students to be introduced to the Libraries' resources and services.

Library AMA: At the beginning of each semester, the Libraries host an “Ask Me Anything” event to introduce students to all the resources available through the Libraries, direct them to their classes, and answer questions about research and library services. The goal of Library AMA is for students to recognize the Libraries as a welcoming place, become acquainted with the library staff and faculty, and know how to contact a librarian for research help.

Orientation Research Guide: The Libraries has created a guide filled with information to help orient students to USC Libraries spaces, services, and resources. This site includes tutorials, videos, and links to useful and frequently used resources at the Libraries. For more information, visit https://libguides.usc.edu/orientation

The USC Libraries also participates in several campus-wide orientation events, including Family Welcome Weekend, and campus tours.
