Computer Workstations

Computer Workstations

Keys for computer workstations available to USC affiliates and other qualified users can be borrowed at the Norris Medical Library Loan Desk. For USC faculty, staff, students, residents & visiting scholars, Windows workstations are located throughout the Norris Library and require a USC Net/ID password for login.

Users on these computers can access Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016, Microsoft Project 2016, Microsoft Visio 2016, EndNote Cite While You Write Plug-In, Adobe Reader DC, SAS, SPSS Statistics, STATA, 7-Zip, Citrix Receiver, Filezilla FTP Client, PuTTY, VLC Media Player, and VMware Horizon View Client. The Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome web browsers are also installed.

Media workstations located on the plaza level (Media 1 and 2) and upper level (Lab 4) include all of the resources on the Windows workstations except for statistics software. They also provide scanning software and the Adobe Cloud suite including Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Dreamweaver, InDesign, and Bridge. Access to these stations requires a key from the Loan Desk.

Computer Classroom Workstations

Twenty student stations and one instructor station in the computer classroom on the upper level are available by reservation. These stations include the same software as the computer workstations above and EndNote 8. The Computer Classroom page provides additional information about reserving and using this room.

InfoStations (Public Kiosks)

InfoStations on the plaza level are available for a limited time and with limited functions for Norris Library visitors. The “i” icon on Norris Library floorplans indicates the location of InfoStations.
